generations series

What is a life well-lived?  What do we leave behind?  What do we pass on to successive generations?   The discovery of a written memorial to a long ago ancestor led me to explore how family traits and characteristics can cross several generations. These paintings serve as portraits of individual lives, but also represent universal experiences.
