I believe that we can find meaning and purpose in life, by adding something unique and new to the world. Creating one of a kind, mixed media paintings that tell stories with visual imagery, texture, color and pattern is my way of adding that "something new".

I enjoy teaching others how to tell their own stories through the visual medium of art. I offer one-on-one sessions in my studio at Sequoia Gallery + Studios in Downtown Hillsboro, Oregon. I also teach groups of up to 10 students in Sequoia’s well equipped, spacious classroom.

Even if you have never picked up a paint brush, you will find my classes provide an encouraging, low stress environment. You will develop a tool box of techniques, materials, and skills from which you can create a work of art reflecting your own style, interests and stories.
